திருமணிமுத்தாறு : ஏற்காடு அடிவாரத்தில்ஓடை போல ஆரமித்து சேலம் மாநகரம்வழியே சாக்கடை போல ஓடி,ஆட்டையாம்பட்டி, நாமக்கல் மாவட்டம் வழியே தமிழகத்தின் பெரிய நதியானகாவேரியில் கலக்கிறது இது.
சரபங்கா : சேலம் விமானநிலையம் வடகிழக்கில் டேனிஷ்பேட்டையில் உருவாகி ஓமலூர், தாரமங்கலம், எடப்பாடிவழியே பவானி நகரம் வடக்கில்காவேரியோடு கலக்கிறது இந்த ஆறு.
தொப்பையாறு : ஏற்காடு வடக்கில் உற்பத்தியாகி தொப்பூர், மேச்சேரி வடக்கு வழியாக மேட்டூர் அணையில்காவேரியோடு கலந்துவிடுகிறது.
இந்த மூன்று ஆறுகளும் காவிரி சேலம்மேற்கு பகுதியில் பாய்கிறது. இந்தஆறுகளை தூர்வாரி, நீர் வழி பாதைகளை சரிசெய்தாலே போதும் மாவட்டத்தின் இந்த பகுதியின் குடிநீர், விவசாயம் மற்றும் தொழிற்சாலை தேவையை பூர்த்தி செய்ய.!
வஷிஸ்டா : சேலம் மாவட்டத்தின் கிழக்கு பகுதியான வாழப்பாடி, ஆத்தூர்தாலுகாக்களை வளமாக்கும் நதி இது. கல்வராயன் மலையில் ஆரமித்துவாழப்பாடி, ஆத்தூர் வழியாக வெள்ளார் உடன் தொழுதூர் கலக்கிறது.
சுவேதா : இந்த நதி கொல்லி மலையில் உற்பத்தியாகி தம்மம்பட்டி, கங்கவல்லிவழியாக வஷிஸ்டா நதியுடன் கலந்துவிடுகிறது.
இவ்வளவு நதிகளை கொண்ட இந்த சேலம் மாவட்டம் மேலும் வளமாக இந்த நதிகளின் வழிப்பாதையை மீட்கவேண்டும். வழியில் உள்ள நகரம், சிறிய ஊர்கள் மற்றும் கிராமங்களில் மழை நீர் இந்த ஆற்றில் கலக்க வழிசெய்யவேண்டும். மற்றும் கழிவுநீர் கலப்பதை நிறுத்தவேண்டும்.

Thirumanimutharu : Starts at Yercaud foot hills, flows via Salem city, Attayampati and joins Cauvery at Paramathi, Namakkal district.
Sarabhanga : Starts north east of Salem Airport, Danishpet flows via Omalur, south of Tharamangalam, Edappadi and joins Cauvery north of Bhavani town
Thoppaiyaru : Starts north of Yercaud hills flows via Thoppur, north of Mecheri and joins with Cauvery at Mettur dam itself.
All these rivers if cleaned, dredged & water path/catchment is cleared then it will full fill drinking water, agriculture and industrial need of this part of western Salem district.
Vashista : This river brings wealth to eastern Salem districts parts like Vazhapadi, Attur etc., It starts at Kalvarayan foot hills and joins Vellar via Valapadi & Attur towns.
Swetha : This starts at Kollihills flows via Thamampati, Gangavali and joins Vashista river.
Let us revive these rivers and bring more wealth to our district!
